Your first step in the process of obtaining a learner’s permit is to understand the requirements and responsibilities that
come with the privilege to drive.  Module One will provide you with an overview of Georgia traffic laws, licensing

procedures, and other responsibilities associated with the driving task. You will be held accountable for knowing the
rules of the road and operating your vehicle safely.  

Module One is by far the longest module in this course!  We have divided the information into the following four
topics:

You will investigate the process of obtaining a learner’s permit and a driver’s license, the vehicle inspection and
registration process, and the value of being a financially responsible driver.

You will examine the rules and regulations that determine right-of-way on Georgia roadways, and learn about the
consequences for violating the right-of-way rules and regulations.

You will learn how to recognize and understand the laws and procedures relating to roadway signs, signals, and
pavement markings.

Each topic contains a series of lessons followed by a quiz.   Before taking each quiz, you will take
